At Christmas time, none of us need much prompting to think about those people we most immediately care for. What is less customary is to think of those beyond our immediate family and friends. Christmas is a great time to ‘let others in’ to our world—to appreciate the existence of other people, their faith, and to respect their traditions.
Christmas is also an excellent time to consider what it means to be grateful and appreciative. We live in a wonderful country, we are healthy, we are surrounded by loved ones … all these are gifts—God’s gifts to us.
